Onslaught Prime is the designated name of an "ancient" A.I., one that has reached the the highest stage of cybernetic evolution. Onslaught's entire origins are mostly unknown, but it is theorized that he was once part of a race of advance A.I., known simply as the Cybers, capable of forms of reality warping abilities, from a cybernetic planetoid hidden deep in our galaxy, Onslaught being both a Legion-Class Catalyst Unit and a Prime, until a massive conflict known as the Cyber War (which went on for over millions of years) initiated the planetary fail-safe know as the Purge: the launching of a cyber-virus that causes all targeted Cybers within a indicated proximity (the entire planetary system) to fall into a corrupted state, then deteriorate from existence. This event caused the near-extinction of the Cybers and leaving their homeworld completely devoid of any "life". It's believed that Onslaught Prime escaped the Purge by transferring his program into his current Cyber-Biotic form, and using it to depart from his home into the Great Beyond. Having existed long before most life in the galaxy, Onslaught had spent most of his endless life cycle gaining knowledge on the possible universe and observing the evolution of the many organisms that had come to live.
