From what I've seen and read, I personally consider Runa to be one of the few, if not only, other Spartans to be of the same caliber of Theron's own skills as a warrior. Instinct and Impulse drive them both.

Also, to answer the question of Theron's helmet being on fire: Runa thought it'd be hilarious to throw a Molotov at it to test its resistance to fire. Also to try and turn him from a calm mind to a literal "hothead">
